Air Conditioning Policy

We have reduced the pricing of your holiday at Villa Rossa by excluding the cost of Air Conditioning use. Instead, the Air Conditioning is coin-operated (the system is in the Laundry/Utility room) allowing you flexibility on how much you want to spend.

There are a few reasons why we've decided to do this:

1) Adequate use of Air Conditioning

We've found when the Air Conditioning usage is left open, we've had too many instances of it being left on constantly (and/or systems left on in rooms not being used). 

It only takes a matter of minutes to cool the rooms, so there is no real benefit in leaving the system on when a room is not in use.

With energy prices fluctuating a great deal, it has been incredibly expensive for us to cover the cost of the Air Conditioning being constantly left on. Reducing the cost of standard Air Conditioning use from the cost of your stay at Villa Rossa allows you the flexibility to then use the system as much as a you want based on spend.

2) Energy wastage

It is not only a case of cost. Air Conditioning systems use a lot of energy and produce emissions into the atmosphere. Over-use (or constant use) means a waste of energy and needless negative emission generation.

We hope you understand the basis of our decision.

The Air Conditioning system takes EURO coins. Our recommendation is to start with just €1 or €2 and monitoring your usage. The display will show remaining credit, so you can work out how long your coins will last and therefore estimate the cost for required use during your stay.
