Getting there

Walking distance
The local shops (including supermarkets), bars, restaurants, and Playa Blanca beach are around 800m away from Villa Rossa, so only a 10-15 minute walk.

Taxis

Car Hire
There are several car rental companies at Lanzarote airport and equally there are several in Playa Blanca, just a short walk away from Villa Rossa. They include CICAR (+34 928 511 88 02) and Cabrera Medina (+34 928 51 71 28). 

Nearest shops
There is a SuperDino supermarket around a 10-15 minute walk away (past the Las Brisas resort and directly across the other side of Avenue de las Canarias), and a Spar just off the small roundabout in the main town at the end of Calle el Varadero. 

Pharmacy
There is a Pharmacy on Calle de Varadero.

Tourist Information
There is a Tourist Information office on Calle de Varadero.

Banks
There are banks in the town centre, including Banco Sabadell on Calle de Varadero and Bankia on Avenue de Papagayo.

All of these amenities are a 10-15 minute walk from Villa Rossa.

You will find plenty of restaurants on Avenida Maritima, which is the seafront promenade at Playa Blanca beach, and there are plenty of others in the vicinity, dotted around the town centre. The nearest Restaurant to Villa Rossa is at the Las Brisas resort, which offers a nice selection of meals and snacks. 

In the main centre of Playa Blanca there are a selection of great pubs. If you head down Calle el Varadero towards Playa Blanca beach and Avenida Maritima, you will soon find plenty of bars. A little east of Playa Blanca town centre (around 5 minutes walk) is Dorada beach, and just off this beach is Centro Comercial Papagayo, which is home to several sports bars and clubs for those seeking a lively evening. 

Further to the east is The Marina. It is well worth a visit for both bars and restaurants. Further to the west is Faro Park, which has some lovely bars and restaurants - great for breakfast!

The nearest bar to Villa Rossa is at Las Brisas, which hosts events such as quizzes and singers. 

Playa Blanca beach is closest to Villa Rossa, and is just a 15 minute walk. A further 5 minute walk to the east takes you to the large Dorado beach, which is great for water sports and sunbathing. 

Over to the west side of Playa Blanca (20-25 minute walk from the town centre) is Flamingo beach, which is perfect for families as it is enclosed and overlooked by several restaurants and shops. 

Papagayo beach, which is about 3 miles out of town to the east of Playa Blanca is well worth a visit as the huge beach area is overlooked by stunning cliffs, and is accessed only by rural roads. The views are incredible. 

Waterpark
Aqualava waterpark is on Calle Gran Canaria, to the west of Playa Blanca. It’s a 20-25 minute walk from Villa Rossa, or a 5 minute drive.

Golf courses

There are 2 Golf Courses in Lanzarote. Lanzarote Golf is near Puerto del Carmen, which is 30km (25 minute drive) away from Villa Rossa. The Golf Club at Costa Teguise is 42km (40 minute drive) away from Villa Rossa. 

Ferry Port
Playa Blanca has a Ferry Port, with multiple services to Fuerteventura each day. The port is around a 15 minute walk away from Villa Rossa on Calle Muelle de Playa Blanca. The harbour is being upgraded in preparation for Cruise Ships to be able to dock.
